Capitol Hill Books’ inventory is constantly in flux. If we don’t have what you’re looking for today, we may have it tomorrow.

That’s why we offer our customers the option of requesting books. Collecting a series you read when you were younger, and just missing that one volume? Searching for a first edition hardcover of your favorite author’s first book? We’ll make sure you’re the first to know if we get it in!

We love offering this service to our customers, but we do have a few guidelines to ensure the process works smoothly.

• Unfortunately, as a used bookstore, we’re not able to order titles for you. We can only notify you when your request comes in used, and offer you first dibs to that copy.
• You can request a specific title or the works of an individual author. Sorry, but we cannot add requests using any other book information except title and author.
• We can contact you about your request through either e-mail or by phone.
• There is no obligation to purchase requested books. However, we ask that you please reply to our request notification even if you no longer want the book.
