Capitol Hill Books featured on 7News
Posted in Uncategorized on 04/02/2012 01:19 pm by CapHillBooksHolly, the owner of Capitol Hill Books was featured on 7News in Denver last night to discuss our business’ concerns with the bagging on most of the meters on our block for the exclusive use of state legislators.
While it looks like the good folks at KMGH weren’t able to change the way the state has taken much of our parking (apparently they are evoking some obscure state law), they were still able to highlight an important issue affecting us and other local merchants around the Capitol.
And of course, Holly and Capitol Hill Books were able to appear on television.

Wow, glad it’s not just me. I live in the neighborhood and now have to drive around for 20-30 min every day after work just to park so I can go home. When is the construction supposed to be done? As it stands, I plan to move out of the neighborhood in July when my lease ends.

It’s supposed to be done next year, but the parking restrictions will end when the legislative session does…usually by May. It definitely can be tricky in Capitol Hill, but we love this neighborhood so much that we get by. Thanks for your comment.
